Description
The Spider-bots hadn't returned since the invasion. Various experts suggested that humanity should venture forth and contact galactic civilizations. Little was known about how galactic civilizations were organized, or how extensive the Spider-bot Empire was. Perhaps Earth could join an organization of sentient species and receive assistance if the Spider-bots ever returned.
A new organization was set up to represent humanity and explore the galaxy called the Terran Galactic Force. It was also tasked with patrolling the solar system and maintaining the system of early warning sensors. A large orbital station was built to serve as the headquarters for the TGF. Officially called the Terran Council Station, it was more often called by it's unofficial nickname (the Top) due to it's shape and the fact that in time it became the center of human government.
